What we’re looking for

As our Innovation Lead, you will leverage your expertise in Design Thinking, Lean Startup, Business Design and/or other innovation methodologies to (1) help our clients dream big and bring their boldest ideas to life, and (2) co-build strong innovation expertise within our company. While designing businesses that make a difference, you will deliver projects independently or work closely with our team of innovation consultants to prototype, test, and validate new solutions. You’re able to smoothly guide a client team to problem-, solution- , and market-fit by validating critical business hypotheses through various qualitative and quantitative validation methods. In short, you breathe innovation and are looking for a role where you can mentor people to uplevel themselves.

A typical day at Seven Beaufort ⛵️

You arrive (can be at your client’s office, our office, or your own office at home) and start the day with a coffee, tea, or whatever you prefer. You look at your agenda and see that a business design workshop you’ve been working on is due today. While putting the finishing touches to it, you spar with a colleague to bring the workshop to the next level. At the office, someone pops the question “Does anyone need to get something to eat?”. Some say yes, and others want to join to get some air. A lunch break later, the afternoon workshop facilitation with your client takes place where you inspire your client and have interesting discussions about challenges they experience. After a drink from our well-stocked fridge with your colleagues, you go home at a fair hour in your company car. And yes, you still have the time to meet up with your friends at the restaurant or to go do some sports or do whatever you like. The night is still young!

What kind of challenges you will be facing at 7B (a snapshot):

• You identify areas for growth and improvement, and then develop and implement strategies to achieve those goals.
• You help our clients to design and accelerate their products and services to market, from needs detection to validating market fit.
• You facilitate brainstorming sessions and make magic happen.
• You provide training and coaching to help clients build their innovation capabilities.
• You assist with the development of business plans and budgets to support innovation efforts.
• You mentor and coach our team of innovation consultants to uplevel our innovation capability.
• You actively look for innovation projects where we can add value for (new) clients.

• You have the necessary tentacles for identifying clients’ (future) challenges.
• You have a business-related master’s degree in the pocket (Business Economics, Business Engineer,…) – no worries, you can also make up for it with relevant work experience.
• You have 6+ years of relevant working experience, of which 3+ years of consulting experience.
• You have an academic background in Business, Economics, Innovation, Engineering, Digital or equivalent.
• So far, you’re reading this vacancy, which means your English is fine but… we are a Belgium-based management consulting firm, and in this country, we officially have 3 languages (Dutch, French, German). How’s your Dutch, French and English?
• Sidenote: German-speaking is not a must. 😉
